Let the Testing Begin!

Along with spring in Texas comes the TAKS test season. This is a time when teachers, schoool administrators, and most of all the students take anxiety to new levels. Walk into your child's school and whammo! The stress hits you like a wet towel in the face. It is tangible. And pervasive. Schools are supposed to be a place of safety and learning. So much for either. I can't see how a child can learn when they are so stressed they can barley remember their names. MAybe a class in relaxation would benefit everyone during the last half of the school year. Couldn't be much worse! I'd volunteer to do a few.
